DECAY
SCREEN SAVER FOR MS WINDOWS 3.1
VERSION 1.1
The original idea is from the Sun workstations.
Original program/idea from David Wald (1988)
When it is time to save the screen it looks like if there is
a heat source behind the screen that makes it decay/melt or
if the plug of your screen is pulled.
How to install:
Copy DECAY.SCR to your windows directory ( C:\windows )
Start the Control Panel from within the Program manager and
select 'Desktop'. In the section controlling the screen saver
you can select Decay with the 'Drop Down Box'.
You can set a number of options by pressing the 'Setup...' button
Method of Decay: - one of the following options can be selected
Decay: make a mess of the screen
Melt: put a heat source behind the screen
Plug: pull the plug of the screen
Random: choose one of the above animations
Time interval: - controls the time between animations
if you enter 0ms time you get a very fast animation
Repeat after: - Some animations give a black screen after a while.
You can repeat the animation after a couple of minutes
if you enter a value greater than 0.
A value of 0 disables this repetition.
Decay to White: - Instead of making the screen black make the screen white.
This is added for some of the laptop users.
Password Protected - do we need to type a password to get back to windows?
Set Password: - gives a dialog box to set or change the password
About: - An about dialog box
After setting the options click the Ok button.
Then test if it all works and click on Ok.
Now Decay is active.
